• Depending on the extent of moisture intrusion, demolition and removal of structural, flooring and other materials will be required to speed up the drying process and inhibit further water damage. These materials may include, but are not limited to, drywall & plaster, baseboards & moldings, wallpaper, cabinets, carpet & pad, wood and laminate flooring, and sub-flooring.

• Air movers and dehumidifiers are used to accelerate evaporation of moisture from affected materials and areas and typically takes between 2 and 5 days, depending on the amount of moisture. It is normal for the temperature to increase in the area where the equipment is placed (this actually enhances the drying process). Classic Restoration & Construction technicians will position our equipment to maximize drying effectiveness. Windows and doors in the affected areas should be kept closed during the drying process.

• Antimicrobial and cleaning sprays are typically applied to affected materials to inhibit the growth of microorganisms.

• It is normal to experience some odors as the drying takes place.

• Classic Restoration & Construction will need to access your home to monitor the equipment and evaluate the drying process.

expect-title-2

• Furniture, appliances and other contents in the affected areas may need to be removed so that CRC technicians can effectively replace damaged materials or paint affected walls as necessary. CRC technicians will perform the heavy moving of these items, however the home owner / tenant must remove all easily breakable and valuable items.

• Classic Restoration & Construction will scope out the project well in advance of your work beginning, and we will work together to understand timing and scope of the project.

• CRC will set a schedule in conjunction with the home owner – typically, we favor having 3-5 straight days so that technicians can efficiently start and stop a project with the least amount of disruption to the home owner.

• CRC technicians will do their best to minimize the dust that enters the home; however, with construction, a small amount of dust is typical and can be mitigated further against with special procedures if the home owner wishes.
